Project on Construction of the International Business Center in Murmansk was initiated by Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Norwegian company BB Eiendom AS in 2006. Later 2009 a solid Norwegian State Fund “Innovation Norway” joined the project.
The main objectives of the project are to:
Create a modern office cluster that encourages the establishment of businesses in Murmansk.
Build a visible landmark that represents the new oil-age coming to Murmansk.
Establish a business centre that can incorporate a number of different functions: First class flexible office spaces, meeting and conference facilities, hotel, class rooms for educational purposes, especially in gas and oil field.
Offer a dynamic work environment to international companies and their employees that consists of a wide range of service facilities: restaurant, cafés, some shops, fitness centre, etc.
Create an open, green indoor environment that is in contrast to the outdoor arctic conditions and that provides an attractive working and communication environment.
Design a flexible structure that can be erected using a step by step strategy.
Build a total program of 75.000 m2 including underground parking.
The land plot chosen for construction of the complex is situated in the geographical center of the City along the main road. It takes only about 10 -15 minutes by car to get to the historical centre of the city. The land plot is situated in the youngest district of Murmansk where lives quite a part of potential employees, mostly young people able to work. At the moment there is a non-finish construction on this land plot.
